My goals

So what are my goals?

Well I would love to weigh under 9 stone. If I saw 8 stone 13.5 lbs on the scales I'd be as happy as a clam.

Now before I worked through the goal setting and mindset process, I pretty much thought it's a pipe dream and I think I'd let the perceptions of others infiltrate my thoughts... 

"it's harder to loose weight as you get older"
"you are fine as you are"
"you gain a stone every decade, its just inevitable"

I'd start and stop but didn't truly commit. 

One thing that helps is measuring progress, not just weighing yourself or measuring your waistline, but tracking the measurements against your plan to ensure your are on track.


So my goals:

I want to be thinner, stronger, leaner and healthier by my birthday, but I need to quantify this...

1. I will not eat crisps, chocolate, cake, biscuits, and other "treats" during the week. I will allow myself the occasional treat if there is a special occasion but this must only be for discussion occasions and only if I am on track.

2. I will not binge eat at the weekends, I will limit my alcoholic drinks to gin and slim line tonic. 

3. I will exercise an average of 3 times per week and will run at least once a month.

4. I will be come strong, healthy and lean and weigh under 9 stone by the 30th of June 2018. 

There are 23 weeks from the point I started to the 30th of June.  I have 25 lbs to lose.  To enable me track my progress, at the end of January I need to have lost 5lbs.  Then I need to lose 4 lbs per month to reach my goal by the end of June. 

January - 5lbs
Feb - 9lbs
March - 13lbs
April 17 lbs
May 21 lbs
June 25 lbs

I will also take measurements and work out what I would like to achieve there. Thinner thighs is on the cards there!
