Bootcamp

I am part of a small group who get together and do a boot camp. It's a great all over body work out and it's much easier to push yourself a bit harder when you're working out with friends. We take it in turns to plan the session and that might seem quite scary but it's actually really easy thanks to all the information that you can find on the world wide web.

My go-to place is Pinterest and they often pick the body area that I'd like to work on or a couple of body areas I'd like to work on that session and build a workout with all the different pins and exercises and interesting things I can find on Pinterest.  If we build in a bit of cardio into I usually find that I can burn 300-400 calories in a good session. I have recently been doing some circuit training in my garage because it's really cold during the winter.

I have also I've got a few Neighbours who were a bit nervous about joining the group but I really keen to start getting ready for the summer.  For those session I do exercise over a period of time rather than a set number of repetitions. This means people can move at their own pace and don't feel under pressure to try and keep up with others or are always the last to finish.  I try to plan exercises where there are three levels of difficulty.  I'm careful of when I'm researching the exercises to try to make sure I know the right way to do things such as keeping your back straight pushing your bum out in a squat. This helps us help us keep an eye on each other so we know that we're doing the exercise correctly to help prevent injury.

This is our circuit session from last night:

What sort of workouts do you do and where do you get your inspiration?
